I was born and raised in Hollister, CA before receiving my bachelor’s in Science for physiological sciences at UCLA. Prior to medical school, I completed one gap year where I developed a passion for teaching and served as a teaching assistant for upper division anatomy and physiology courses at UCLA and then matriculated to Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. I extended my medical schooling by a year after being accepted to a prestigious predoctoral teaching fellowship at Western University where I assisted in teaching other medical students. After completing medical school, I completed my residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. During my time in residency, I developed a passion for palliative care which led me to completing a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship with Stanford University School of Medicine. I now serve as an inpatient attending physician on the Palliative Care team at Robert Wood Johnson and Rutgers Cancer Institute, as well as assistant professor of family medicine with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
